Re: Wanted Sioux valve seat grinder

I would never have given it away.
My memory is not flawed on this subject.

Wanted Sioux valve seat grinder

I am looking for a Sioux valve seat grinder loaned to a club member but not returned. I understand the Sioux grinder, along with several other valve specialty tools, were in some way passed on to other club members. The Sioux was a bit of a treasure, quite old and in pristine condition.
I will not ...

Bill quietly taught integrity by example, showing kindness as a priority over proving he was right.

Re: Oliver Holley-Fry

Oliver was always among the best. He had exemplary ethics.
Oliver would not only offer his help, but follow through.
Oliver was not interested in exploiting the vulnerable, but in quietly lending a hand.
Self promotion and good P.R. were never the aim. Just a genuine act of kindness.
Oliver wanted ...

I see all suggested explanations as plausible.
But, My knee jerk reaction is the shift linkage being struck.

Josh Knows; Use Tung Oil...and the job is licked.
You might want to look into a product called Waterlox. It is mostly tung oil.

Re: 1960 SO-23 A.K.A. Gunther

If it is not just sitting on the surface (and toxic plastic), can it really protect the wood?

Re: Tom Kern

Tom Kern will be deeply missed. He was one of the kind, caring, gentle people in the club who always knew how to make others feel welcomed. Tom was emblematic of why people want to belong to a club. He really knew how to be a friend...Always one of the best.

Re: My New Project

I tend to spray oil into both of the ports and the spark plug hole first. Oil always helps minimize damage. I also like to use an air line adapter in the plug hole. With the oil in the cylinder, the air will force the lube down into the rings and all over the valves, and help the valve to find it's ...
