Beetle Parts

Post by Dual Port » Wed Jun 20, 2018 6:18 pm

Mike Roecker came across a barn with a bunch of old parts that had been stored for decades. Does anyone need any of this stuff? We didn't pay much for it......

The front fender is NOS with the PN tag, I'm guessing mid 60's. The rear fender looks like a '73ish. There are 4 bumpers, 3 68-72ish and one shock bumper. I'll use the seat, wheel, and heater boxes. No extra charge for the bat guano.

Nice score! I think that front fender has holes for both "bullet" turn signals and the later top mounted blinker units that started in '58. That's likely some universal aftermarket item produced by VW or some other entity, but who cares. I'd be interested in that and will pay for your efforts.

That rear fender is definitely '73 and later as it is set up for elephant tail lights.

And those deck lids, Oh my! Anybody with a 70's beetle better get ahold of you guys because inevitably if they're rear ended, you've got them covered!

And Roker better keep the 1300 deck lid as his insurance policy! :P

I would be interested in the muffler.

The front fender is a one year only 67, horn grill opening and DOT headlight.

I'd love to get one of the early decklids. I have an idea for some wall art in the garage.

Good eye. I stand corrected.

I haven't poked the fenders too hard on my sister's 67 bug or the one that was my mom's but would be interested in the fender as a spare/replacement.
