Well, I started to move again on the DC.
The plan right now (a very loose one) is to replace some sheet metal and make it all one color again.
Along the way I would like to install some original safari windows.

What I need to do this winter:

1. cargo door lower
2. both front doors
3. both doglegs
4. right & left front floor sections
5. front nose (very bad inside and out)
6. safari windows
7. paint or primer Dove blue again

Can't wait to see all the detailed pictures. This will likely be the 'great project of 2009'!

Yes, they make for great kindling/starter wood for the fireplace at home. :)

Looks like it is a great project. Is that the same truck you have had at RRR? Pretty sold to begin with.

Is that rubber bungee supposed to be holding the logs in case they fall?

Yes. Kirk is big on OSHA standards.

Just kiddding. Kirk really is big on safety. He wears eye and ear protection even when I'm talking to him.

Check out the pile of high $$ Gerson metal panels, they do look to be pretty good. I'll let you know how well they fit later.....

This is the guy making them http://www.klassicfab.com/marcos.htm
The only one stocking in the USA (not back ordered) is http://www.bustoration.com/Metal-Repair ... _c_11.html
