Kelleys Island 2009

Post by SlashKirk »

Welcome fellow Volkswagen enthusiasts!
2009 Kombis On Kelleys
October 9th 10th & 11th

***Rain or Shine***

Here is the pricing for this year’s weekend campout:
1 person in one bus……..$60.00
2 people in one bus……..$75.00
2 adults and 1 or more related minor children in one bus…….$80.00
4H has added a "walk up" rate of $40.00 per person for those who just walk up.
More than 2 adults or “guests” in one bus will be charged an additional $10 per person to the above prices.

Consideration will be given to families arriving in 2 busses with minor children.

These prices include free breakfast on Saturday and Sunday mornings inside dining hall.

We would also like to invite everybody to bring a dish to share for a potluck dinner on Saturday evening inside the dinner hall.

Free Ice!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The ONLY vehicles permitted to camp on the 4H grounds will be:
1. All VW buses (including watercooled)
2. All VW aircooled vehicles
3. All others will need prior approval of 4H and LEAKOIL (Bill W.)
This means that you are more than welcome to pitch your tent with the rest of the VW’s on the waterfront. But park your daily driver or watercooled VW in the parking lot at the top of the 4H camp. If you still wish to camp with your car; you may want to make arrangements with the Ohio State Park just down the road.
These changes are in effort to maintain the integrity of this worthwhile event and your cooperation is greatly appreciated!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Pre Pay Discount
A $10.00 prepay discount will apply to the above rates if recieved by Fri Oct. 2nd.
Example: 2 adults with 1 or more related minor children $70.00

Make checks or MO payable to: Erie County 4H

Mail to LEAKOIL, P.O.BOX 1347 ELYRIA, OH. 44036

Here is this year's Kelleys flyer. If anyone would like a higher resolution PDF file to print out, contact me at mosparx@aol.com, and give me your home email address where I can attach the file to.

Add $9.00 per adult to the ferry vehicle fee. It is not an inexpensive campout to go to, but WORTH every penny.
Half the fun is the boat ride going over there and back, depending on how choppy the Lake is. :D Remember to set your E-Brake, or block your tires.

Melissa wants to know if you are going to charge us the $5 for Bridget. She's gotten real cheap since becoming a mom.

Aren't ALL VW owners historically cheap? :P

I believe that kids under 2 years old are not subject to the additional charge (in this particular case); but Bill needs to verify this with our contract with the 4H camp.

Hide the baby in a cabinet and give her a bottle of milk until you are inside the camp. It's not like she is going to be eating the breakfasts with us at the dining hall, and drinking all the coffee. (Yet)
