Free 1.6L Diesel engine and transaxle

A friend of mine has an unknown condition 1.6L rabbit diesel engine and transaxle that he inherited when his father passed. It's been sitting in his garage for years and he knows nothing about it. He wants it gone and was going to scrap it, but asked me to see if anyone could use it for parts or whatever. It's in Valley View OH. Let me know if there's any interest otherwise I'll just tell him to junk it.
