Beetle Tires/Wheels, Coleman Lantern

Tires and wheels, almost no mileage. Wheels appear to be powder coated and all clips are good or new.

Vanagon Bike Rack, Dual Carbs

Rob S. is cleaning his garage and wants to unload some stuff. Vanagon 2-bike rack, excellent condition. Empi dual carb setup for T1 DP. Almost no miles but needle and seats seemed to seep and jetting may need to be changed. Carbs, $100. For bike rack, contact Rob: https://www.leakoil.net/forum/membe...

Re: '65 Standard

I use a hospital bed mattress pad that's part gel and part regular foam. They're $100-150 online, I bought it at a garage sale for $10. It's only about 3-4" thick but very comfortable, even after 7 straight nights on the last big trip.

Re: WTB: Splitty Project

Yes, that's a possibility but still seems overpriced. It's a project and going to need everything, and you'll be right at the edge of "upside down" when you're done with it. It actually seems like completed bus prices are softening (coming down a bit) and project prices are going up. 11K s...

Re: '65 Standard

OK, now to the interior. When I go camping in this bus there's no storage space so it looks like a giant shithole when I open the doors. Shit everywhere and nothing put away because there's nowhere to put anything. Let's fix that, but on a budget and on my terms. A real Westy wouldn't work well for ...

Re: '65 Standard

Ugh, still bored stiff and no relief in sight. Normally at his time of the year I just returned from Florida and am planning to return there shortly but not this year. :( Been working with Rob on his vehicles, nothing interesting, mostly maintenance and minor repairs. Bus 2 is getting more attention...

Re: 1960 SO-23 A.K.A. Gunther

I'm a freeze baby and really like the idea of the small diesel heater. Be careful around diesel fuel- the smallest amount spilled, even drops or a teaspoon, will leave a rank odor that permeates the bus and is impossible to get rid of. Speaking as a diesel mechanic for my whole working life, trust m...
