Re: Sean's '59 Panel

Sean's decided to join the real world and ditch the 40hp in favor of a 1600SP. He'll now be able to get on the highway...…. It starts with a new Brazilian case, I've used these before and they're well worth the money. You don't have to line bore/thrust cut/lifter sleeve/deck cut/soda blast/clean and...

Re: 76 Westfalia Sweet Pickle

That's pretty cool. I drilled a hole in my panel so I can stick my finger through and trip the catch, but yours is more finished.

Tune-Up Day Postponed

Hey Guys: I've been putting this off as long as I can. At this point I'm just not comfortable hosting a group of people at my shop for Tune-Up Day, which was supposed to be next Saturday, the 9th. I realize the chance of infection is relatively small but until the virus calms down we're going to hav...

Re: '65 Standard

I used to do a LOT of training for ODOT at all of the districts before they centralized training in about 2008 and went to lowest bidder training companies. District 12 was one of the worst at maintaining their trucks, I was appalled at the condition of their fleet when I walked through the shop. I ...

Re: '65 Standard

The tranny is a bit tired in Bus 2 and it probably deserves a new one. It actually works pretty well but leaks from the gearcase. I dug through my junk cores to find a suitable unit with the right R&P, I don't even remember where this one came from, probably a swap meet. I popped the side cover to v...

Re: '65 Standard

Remember "Musical Chairs" when you were a kid? I'm doing Musical Motors. The 2180 from the Ghia went into Bus 1, the 1904 from Bus 1 went into Bus 2. The 1600 CWC goes from B2 to the shelf. I didn't take a lot of pictures to document the process but it went smoothly. Out with the 1600: P4060003.JPG ...

Re: Stuff at the Shop

The bumpers came out really nice, they look like new. Satin black doesn't photograph well but trust me, they look nice.
