Folks on the interwebs (and myself) have used Time-sert thread inserts for the spring plate bolts. Basically a really beefed up helicoil insert that is just as strong as the original threads were.
Can't wait to find out how these work out. At 1/2 the price of what I paid for the CSP kit, they'll be a better deal if they work out. What kind of motor did this come with?
Yeah. Definetly just buy that or similar yoke. I remember seeing a 3 arm one around the samba for $75 that fits in a generic harbor freight style stand. Check the samba i guess.
