Re: 2009 National Shows

Since Ken mentioned "The Classic" i did some digging around on the samba community forum and found the reference below. I'm always wondering how the swap sales or vehicle sales go. Is it like Columbus only bigger? Anyone see any killer deals at these big shows? Did Vermillion Bob buy the 'Green Gian...

Re: 2009 National Shows

21 Window and I flew out for OCTO last year. It was a pretty good show, rained the whole morning. All splitties. Saw at least 4 Barndoors and lots of other cool buses. Greg has some good pictures I think, maybe he can post them up. Two years ago Greg and I drove his TDI to the Buses by the Bridges ...

2009 National Shows

I realize we are a regional bus club, but if you're like me, you've probably wondered about the so called "cant miss" national shows. Frankly, for years I've heard about some events described only by "letters", (like OCTO), that I didn't even know what the letters stood for or where the event was he...

Re: Calendar of Events

I'm like you Dave. I like to plan things out. I'm keeping a list and checking it twice, but before I go and put stuff up here I thought I would wait to talk with others about how they want it to appear, or if they even want it. Unless it appears as a type of "sticky", the list drifts to the bottom o...

Re: CaptKirk........1960 Double Cab

Great to see a real welder in action! :) Are you replacing that short rocker? While it looks ok from here, only you can tell. Also, do you have to do anything with the A or B pillars? While I'd love to see some photos of that, I wouldn't wish that repair on anyone. Keep the pictures coming. Oh yea, ...

Re: Party at Bills

Great job Bill and Pam! I'm sure I speak for everyone in saying "Thank You". It was a really nice event. The setting was almost "camplike". I left far too early, but here are a copule of pictures. I know Gail took a lot more! http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc134/gallareed/leakoilXmassparty200800...
