http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc134/gallareed/59bus6-24-09001.jpg Sean, You need to notch the seal at the bend in the door top. THis will keep it laying flat and not looking funky when the top is installed. Also did you cut the drain holes in the door top rubber? Yes Ted, I notched out the ben...

Appreciate it, but Kirk hooked me up last year on the mounts. I've just got to re-drill the holes.

Re: CKWA/KWHA Part II

I think you made the same mistake I did when assembling vent wings and put the rain channels on wrong side. I think long side goes on bottom. I did not change mine once I got window together because of hassle. http://images.thesamba.com/vw/gallery/pix/500756.jpg Yes, you're probably right, but I'm ...

Re: CKWA/KWHA Part II

A new guy from my neck of the woods? Is he on the forum? 57 Oval! Sweet!!! I told him to stop out at Basil's. So far he's a 'no show'. I think he's looking for a bus. His oval looks like a nice project. It's really nice paint from the pics he showed me. You just have to put it all back together. Al...

Re: Firelands 2009

Many thanks to Kirk for getting the Ft. event together for '09. Also, to Mrs. Berhent who did all the heavy lifting. :) Although we didn't camp, (I'm banned 'till my bus is ready!), we enjoyed stopping up and seeing everyone. It was great that Ted, Melissa and Bridget made it down from Detroit...

Re: Fort Firelands ****MAY 30th****

Josh came by after work Friday and it was a quick fix. An electrical connection had worked its way off the FI system. See you at the Fort on Saturday! That's great Howie! :D Josh has gone from being the 'dual carb guru' to the 'FI guru'! LEAKOILERS are branching out! Josh is a great guy. I'm ...

Re: Fort Firelands ****MAY 30th****

Sean and I think the Points are closing up and need adjusted, but I don't have the tools to fix that. I have to go to W. Va. today, but will be back tonight. I probably won't be able to leave for the Ft. until later in the afternoon on Saturday. (Mr.s G's kitchen project  ). If you get that t...

Re: East Enders - Where are you?

Sean and Don, let me know if you are meeting at Carolina BBQ and I will meet you (unless you dont want a "little brother" there) :PBrett My wife (Dawn) had the Carolina BBQ at the Berea Rib Burn-off last weekend and she was impressed. If I can work a VW related encounter into her desire f...

Re: CKWA/KWHA Part II

We were back at it today. Kyle was all about the 'automotive electronics'. For those of you that don't know Kyle, he is great at automotive wiring. If you have wiring issues in your VW, give Kyle a call. He is very reasonable and a great guy to hang out with and just talk about VW's and life. We got...
