Re: Hans and Olaf

Nice job Nick. Being able to troubleshoot on the road is an unfortunate talent we all need to develop. You got the bus home. Find that leak and fix it. You don't want to take any chances with brakes.

Re: Oktoberfest 2009

We’re a week away, but I thought I would update the Oktoberfest thread. I really want those who haven't attended an Oktoberfest to feel comfortable about coming out and enjoying the experience. Oktoberfest is a German cultural celebration. Here’s the official website: http://www.bereaoktoberfest.com...

Re: Kelleys Island 2009

I've tried to do a little research on the mysterious cheap cart rental and I'm coming up empty, but I have a few leads if folks want to check them out. As I said in an earlier post, a couple years ago I turned rright, or east, on E. Lakeshore Drive, (that's away from the downtown), when first gettin...

Re: Shawshank 2009

I think the reformatory restoration folks need to call the lead paint removers! My spedometer is not working, so I'll take Josh at his word. In any event, I'm having a hard time coming to grips with the "65mph" in a 36 horse small nut rgb split case tranny! I must say thoug...

Shawshank 2009

Great time as always at Shawshank (Mansfield). Many thanks to Paul Smith and his crew for a great, well organized camp and show. LEAKOIL was well represented on Friday night. I finally got my '59 bus out to a show. Josh and Amanda were kind enough to caravan with me to insure I would make it. ...

Re: Oktoberfest 2009

But Sean, you are so much more eloquent and photogenic, and will show up better in Hi-Def TV. Howie, the last thing I'll ever be is photogenic. In any event, Bill and the veteran LEAKOILERS should handle this. My goal is to get as many buses there on Friday as possible. We need to go all out....

Re: Oktoberfest 2009

Actually, all kidding aside, Bill W. should do this. It's a unique opportunity. I'm flattered I was asked, but I'm nothing special. This needs to be done by someone who has been at it from the begining. Bill not only knows as much about these buses as anyone, he's responsible for the creation and gr...

Re: Kelleys Island 2009

A couple years ago, (I think it was Bill W., but I could be wrong), found a guy who rented carts pretty cheap, (it's all relative), for the whole weekend. Normally, when you get off the ferry, you turned left to go "downtown" to get to Division Street and eventually the 4-H site. To reach ...

Re: Oktoberfest 2009

Howie, the camp area says Leakoil, and if I remember right you and I were traded! Your supposed to be an OVTer now!! Just may make it up for this one, but would be Saturday evening before I could get there. Lisa works Sat. mornings! So how many buses are expected there? I don't want to go "all...
