Re: FramingSilly "There's a first time for everyone"

Pull out all the spark plugs and make sure they are properly gapped and not fouled. Install new ones if any doubt about condition.
Make sure you are getting enough fuel. Try some starting fuid if necessary.
Keep a fire extinguisher handy.

Re: FramingSilly "There's a first time for everyone"

It's possible that someone may have installed the distributor drive gear 180 degrees off. Try using this position for TDC. Then change the position of your spark plug wires on the distributor cap to the correct firing order 1-4-3-2.

Re: Ken.....When I restored the '63 Single Cab

I was considering not restoring it at all and making it a survivor. Then I decided to make it as it was when I drove it home from the dealership. As far as paint and detail, it's probably better than original.

It had 48,000 original miles on the odometer and I drove it out of the garage under its own power. http://i271.photobucket.com/al...

Re: Ken.....Vegas Bus

Bob,
No it's not the same guy who did the SC. I found another guy who is retired and works on it in his spare time and so do I. Since I don't have a time line on the project, it works out for both of us.
