Re: Tune Up Day 2009
I just purchased a couple seals for my leaking front windows. Can i get some help replacing those if time allows?? I've read that some heavy string is needed but that is about it to do the install. Anything else? That can turn into a pretty involved body repair depending on how bad the window openi...

Re: Tune Up Day 2009
009. And, are you sure that the port at the base of the carb is plugged? The picture looks like it is an open piece of hose...... I checked it tonight, it's plugged... I'll take the "insulation" or whatever that is out of the engine compartment. You will find a rectangular opening between...

#1. Yes. The lower half of the hinge should be welded to the floor. #2. The spring is what holds the arm. Look in a < mid 60's beetle repair manual, it is the same spring that holds the cross arm on the thermostatic flaps. #3. Tops ones are probably West bits, ask Todd. Bottom are front door strike...

Re: CKWA/KWHA Part II
WW has the 67 MC and reservoirs but the push rods appear to be the hard find. One thing good about the Bus is low 1st gear. Does anyone know of anyone who had a single MC go out while driving? You can make a pushrod out of a bolt in about 10 minutes with a hacksaw and bench grinder or turn one on a...

Re: CKWA/KWHA Part II
I like your idea of the dual circuit master cylinder. That's a nice safety feature. I'm going to copy that idea from you for my busses. Well Ken, you're like me. I guess we shouldn't take too many chanes. I've been talking to Dale about it at Dale's VW. Six volts won't kill you, but a suicide cylin...

"Maybe tomorrow I'll work on the tunes. CKLW 760? and WIXY 1260. Either way, all the hits!" I thought CKLW was AM 800? Can't wait to see you driving that Bus! The pictures look great. Yes Mark, I think you're right about 800 AM. I'm sure Keith can tell us a little about CKLW. Hey, we're g...
