Here is what we started with - It's official, Toolbox has a bay! He'll have to be responsible for providing the details, but it was another fun LEAKOIL adventure. 8-) I will say, this bus has (had) more Grateful Dead stickers than any bus I've seen. Ditch the Ford solenoid, it takes almost as much current to trigger as the stock unit. Use a Ghia 6V horn relay or find a 40A 6V foglight relay.

As well always make sure you only use GL-4 rated gear oil in your air cooled vw trans and nothing rated GL-5 or higher as they contain additives that will corrode-eat away at the yellow metals in your transmission such as your gear syncronizers. That is a 17mm allen for the drain and fill plugs. What size was the hammer you used to get a 19mm to work?

Not sure when they changed to one per side? They never did :lol: Late wc's ('64-'70) are a lot cheaper though. Ronnie had some fronts for my 59 that were $15 each. Came in a white box with no markings. Pulled them apart to inspect before install and they looked great inside. Been on for about 5 yea...
