Re: 1961 Microbus
I am hoping to get the rear hat channel, the rear outriggers, and four jack points installed Monday and Tuesday after work. Wow, first of all I want to say keep up the good work. I am in the middle of a full resto also on a '66 Deluxe which I started on Jan 1 and have about 210 hours in right now. ...

Re: '66 Deluxe
Awesome stuff Bruce. Did you get the curved pipe at NAPA? While you say both would work, should we assume the 2 & 3/4" is closest to the original? Also, does anyone know if the split pipe and the bay pipe are the same size? I actually had the curved pipe left over from building one of the ...

Re: '66 Deluxe
I had to work this week but I still got a bit done, I cut out the old rear crossmember and welded in the new AC one. This worked out well for me as it also allowed me to install the heat tube which I would have had to cut to install otherwise. The heat tube I used is 2 3/4" but 2 1/2" woul...

Re: '66 Deluxe
I finished welding and grinding the lower outer apron, it came out great. The left seat belt mount was a bit funky looking, but it wasn't until I cleaned it well did I find it was pretty rotted. Here's an old pic zoomed in, I didn't shoot any closeups prior to cutting it out. Here it is done, it cam...

I saw the listing and put it on my calendar already. I (obviously) have a driving force to attend as many swaps as I can. (or my wife will let me )

Re: '66 Deluxe
Here's the shots of the inner valance I forgot to post a few days ago. I spliced it using only the lower half, as that makes it easier to change. To replace the whole valance the nose skin must either be cut or removed. Right floor is done and came out well. I bought a "wand" for painting ...

That's funny, I'm not very proud of my welds.
