Checked at the starter and got 12.46. Switched to the terminal the red wire with the white stripe is attached to, had my son crank the ignition and got nothing. Cut the connector off, it was bent and felt weak, stripped the wire back and had my son crank again and still nothing. Jumped with a screw...

I bet the electrical portion of the ignition switch has failed. unhook the switch and jump terminal #30 (HOT all the time and unfused) to terminal #50 and see if it cycles the starter.

You have a compression fitting in the hard brake line going to a caliper in a photo above, those are not safe on brake lines and probably not legal. There's a bleeder screw at the bottom of the caliper in the pic, make sure there's another at the top. Either you have a caliper with two bleeders or ...

I think if you stay north of 14 Mile you should not be hasseled. County Sherrif and State PD might be an issue the whole length of the strip h ticket book in hand for the rice and muscle guys.

I will probably be at the Mi VW group at the northern end and come in off a side road.

We use SeaRox from Rockwool at work in our chambers and I will get the other product for you tomorrow at work. It is Kapton faced Melamine foam.

try and find a 7mm stud There are 7 of them on the front of the transaxle. Nosecone studs are M7. You can steal one from and extra trans if you have one... or take it from the front of that trans. Six studs up there "will be fine" :lol: You can get 3 feet of M7 threaded rod from McMaster ...
