Those are Unimog mirrors, it is just flat glass and a little larger. They are very nice and not as expensive as the "correct" part. I have a set on my single and they work well.
There were several dealers on eBay in the US who were selling them when i bought them, it's been about 8 years though. When I bought them I only spent about $35 shipped for a pair. I see them pop up once in a while, might be easier to find in Europe though.

The unimogs are great because the mounts would actually stay attached if you tried to adjust them

On the subject of wing mirrors hope you dont mind me hijacking your thread but ive recently bought a set of Frese ones , really pleased with them , very period looking and a great rear view ive bought a few parts from Theo over the years hes very good & very cheap i highly recommend him http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/ ... id=1038440

He always has really cool stuff at decent prices. I have purchased many parts from him over the years.
