Ted is correct and I bought mine off the internet a few years ago. I tried to find another set but they are now unavailable?!
Watch Ebay I guess....

Those are Unimog mirrors, it is just flat glass and a little larger. They are very nice and not as expensive as the "correct" part. I have a set on my single and they work well.

Ha i was told lies by some unscrupulous dealer over here then :evil: we have a word for them :twisted: Hey Toolbox will the store be getting some more in stock ?

There were several dealers on eBay in the US who were selling them when i bought them, it's been about 8 years though. When I bought them I only spent about $35 shipped for a pair. I see them pop up once in a while, might be easier to find in Europe though.

The unimogs are great because the mounts would actually stay attached if you tried to adjust them :o
I must have four broken garbage WW (who ever makes them) ones :evil:

On the subject of wing mirrors hope you dont mind me hijacking your thread but ive recently bought a set of Frese ones , really pleased with them , very period looking and a great rear view ive bought a few parts from Theo over the years hes very good & very cheap i highly recommend him ;) http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/ ... id=1038440

He always has really cool stuff at decent prices. I have purchased many parts from him over the years.
