I have a buddy that is trying to sell a 77? R100RS silver/blue color (with the 40mm ports) that he has had since new.
It is in very very nice condition . you NEED that bike to complete your collection

If it was a BMW R90s that's in original paint for sale, he'd be your guy.21window wrote:I have a buddy that is trying to sell a 77? R100RS silver/blue color (with the 40mm ports) that he has had since new.

The white bike is a '78 R100RS Motorsport Edition..all original (except Russell seat) with 17k mile..bought from the original owner.
Mike,
That ad has been working wonders lately, but its time to update it.

I would say cocaine or heroin is a terrible addiction. That bike/bus porn just tells me that Kirk has a addiction to awesome. And, from what I'm told thats an OK addiction to have.

My updates are nowhere near as exciting as Bruce's but I thought I'd show some slow progress.
Welded in a support bracket that was missing Epoxy painted the floor area while it was cleaned up. So many holes to weld shut...even the package tray had 9 frickin holes in it....ugh... Lurch got my fuel tank cleaned and insides coated...thanks Dan.
Bill has my front seats to get fresh covers on them.
Hopefully soon I'll get bolting some suspension back on

The important thing is that you're working on it and making progress, I've done a lot but remember that last year there was a span of over 6 months I didn't touch my bus. It all has to do with work and spare time, if you're working 40 hours it's tough to find any time for VWs. My work is sporadic and there's long stretches of slow time I don't work at all, like right now.Kirk wrote: I thought I'd show some slow progress.

The quality of your work is probably better than mine, I also had a zillion holes in the package tray and I fiberglassed them rather than weld them all up. I know your welding skills are better than mine.
Keep up the good work!

I've removed the bus from the rotisserie and having bolting suspension back onto the frame (pics soon).
In the process of finding all the parts I removed and doing an inventory of parts I need to order....
......I refuse to buy any more front wheel cylinders in my life time because I have a pile of used ones that probably can be rebuilt.....Ted!! where can I buy quality kits that are the proper size for early split brakes?
