The early and late split cylinders are the same internal parts, the offset is different to accommodate the wider later brake

NAPA, Rock Auto or send them to Brake Materials and Parts in Ft Wayne and have them sleeved and rebuilt.

You've got the mount for your circus tent. Don't remember seeing a post for that.

How is that going to work with your rack?

Sarcasm is just one of the many services I offer.

I like my water filtered through a bed of grains, cleansed by yeast, and preserved with hops.

Because I want Ted to give us a lesson on brake fluid.....is this a fair statement. ....

Dot 3 = old school, easy to find, not the best.
Dot 4 = better than 3 and the two mix fine.
Dot 5 = superior to all others, but most manufacturers no longer use it, does NOT mix with any others, not recommended. Silicone based.
Dot 5.1 = great stuff if you can find it, mixes with 3 & 4, confusing name.

I'm going to use Dot 4..unless Ted tells me otherwise

DOT 3 and 4 are the same except for the higher wet boiling point of DOT4. We use ATE DOT4 in the test rigs at work. On the vehicles we use whatever the factory fill fluid is.

DOT5 does not absorb moisture and this causes slugs of water in you fluid. Lots of rust and corrosion when this happens.

Use a decent fluid and flush every 2 years and all is good.
