64' Single cab

Post by Josh »

Back in the saddle again. Just picked this up in eastern PA today. It's a 64' with original paint originally a San Mateo CA parks vehicle. It's very solid, had the front floor replaced along with the battery tray. The motor is a mystery 1600dp but it does have a freeway flyer transaxle with straight axles from a bug. Ran strong through the mountains on the PA turnpike at 55-60mph and 65 through Ohio no problems, didn't even need to shift into third!

Nice score! :D I know the bed of that thing will be littered with scooters in no time! Kirk must have owned that rear gate in another life.

That looks a lot better than one that was for sale out here for $11k last summer that was in similar body shape "OG paint", congrats. Just don't let Aaron lower it too many inches, you wouldn't want it to bottom out with all those scooters in the bed ;)

Yeah, definitely needs to lose about 5-6 more inches :D

Glad to see you back in a Split! Wish I could say I knew you'd be back, but I thought we lost you for good there

Nice score Josh. It's good to see you back in a split - especially a single cab.

Awesome.
Is the front end narrowed and what size are the tires, looking at similiar height on the DD.
