That (sway bar?) bracket on the lower left of the photo is not on Marla's axle.

I was meaning that the internals are small diameter spline in a big nut box. Wonder if the tooth count is different than type 2 small nut parts.

That's what she had, small nut internals and small nut outer housing mounted on a big nut axle tube and inner housing. The ratios count out correct, 1.39 sn and 1.26 bn.

If you're referring to the 181 RGB, I obviously don't know what the gearing is on that.......

Thanks for the challenge Rick but Gunther will still be riding slow just not working as hard doing it.

Aren't they all bastards after 55 years in the making?

I agree with Marla chances are somewhere along the line a non standard repair /swap was done to keep them going.
