Cate Blair's Buses For Sale

Post by Howie »

I was contacted by Cate Blair's daughter to help sell her late Mother's 2 buses. This is the message that was sent to me on FaceBook:
"This weekend there will be a rummage sale at my mom and dads house included in this rummage sale are the two Volkswagen buses so anybody from moms Volkswagen crew come on out and make me an offer they must go this weekend or they will have to be shipped to the junkyard."

For those who knew Cate and her husband Bruce, Cate drove the Orange bus, and Bruce drove the Blue hightop Adventure Wagon. Here is the contact info for Jaime Boone:

I don't see any bus pics on her FB page. Do you know anything about them? Year, condition, etc? "Bus" is a pretty broad term.

There were no pics posted, but I found two ratty pics in my archives. The Orange bus is a 73 as I recall. No idea on the hightopper. Sparse interiors on both, and a bit crusty. "Ran When Parked". Project vehicles. Anything is better than seeing them Scrapped.

These pics probably don't shed much light, but these are two of the orange '73 from "Frank's Fix It" a few yers back. Yes, that's Cate working on the engine.

It looks like both buses have been bought. A couple of Shady Leakoilers scooped them up. ;) They will be coming North! This Post can be Removed now, Mods.
