Ohiowesty's 2 liter type 4 engine build

Post by chuckspence »

Ok Leakoilers, Our new member Ohiowesty (Will Toth) had a serious issue with his Westy camper motor (round camshaft & progressive webber carb), in the last few weeks my team* & I have pulled & dismantled his engine, prepped and purchased the necessary parts, and tomorrow evening (Wed, June 1st) we will begin assembling Will's engine, any interested persons wishing to see the inner workings of the mysterious type 4 powerplant whilst it's being put together are welcome to attend, and if able ya get to help, feel free to bring beverages & snacks, Wed June 1st around 4-5pm, we are on a mission to get his engine back in & running with factory fuel injection in time for the Mohican weekend.

I don't have enough words to express my gratitude towards the club members who take time out of their lives to help with my blue turd. From Mike - a stranger who helped me out of the blue for an entire Saturday by working on the bus, teaching me stuff and then introducing me to the group, to Bill who gave me advice and ordered parts, to Chuck for offering to convert the bus back to FI and then getting on it with the crew, and to all club members who made me and my wife feel at home. I got the pizza and beverages covered. Unless you want some hard to pronounce HackerPschorrDinkelAckerOttakringer craft beer like Mike does :)

Don't worry Will, he actually knows what he's doing.
