I think it was more because of the lightening Howie. Driving home in the rain sucked (like to avoid that as much as possible!), but I have to say the temperature was perfect.

I was thrilled that a number of folks braved the heat and strong possibility for rain and made Brookstock. I will post some further thoughts and pics on the past event forum.

Despite some wicked heat and chance for serious thunderstorms we actually were able to position a few cars at the Cleveland Metroparks VW village at Brookstock. Thanks to all who made the scene, which was actually very cool. They had our cars positioned right next to the main pavilion so it was easy to get some relief from the sun. Mike had his Bus with an awning so a few of us were able to duck under it from time to time. As always it was fun to see adults and kids of all ages stop and check out the Buses, Bugs and Squareback. One lady told me the only reason they came because the kids were bugging her to see the VWs! NICE! I had to leave at 3:45 so sorry if I missed more that came. Please add your thoughts and pics to this post.
