Ohio Dirt Roads??

Post by SlashKirk »

After all this talk of an exotic off-road adventure like the Shasta or Trailbash trips.....
we need a volunteer to take the lead and organize a "Ohio Bash" of sorts.

Here are some thoughts:

1. Needs to be around 100miles (AAA range of course)
2. Needs to be in either private or public property where we can be stupid.
3. Need to be able to drive off roads.
4. Need to be able camp overnight.
5. Need to be able to have fire.
6. Rename the trip to something way more cool 8-)

Anybody have ideas??

Brad and I were talking about this in the Spring. No locations we came up with met your #1 requirement though :?

My dad has a 50acre farm in central ohio that he has always said leak oil is more than welcome to camp on, and there are some off road trails but nothing like Shasta. I don't think it would be exciting enough.

The closest I can get you is http://www.rushoffroad.com

but as Aaron said..we discussed it but then realized it would be just us..

If you want a epic trip you gotta put some miles down

do you guys really think the people who go to shasta live 100 miles away?

In the old days I did some Pro Rally on the fire roads south of Coshocton, they were awesome. Little more than the 100 mile requirement tho. I would be down with making the trip down there with someone and doing some homework/arrangements to help get this set up.

This sounds like a a good idea, something different and fun.

Not to be stupid... but what is your origin point for the 100 mile radius? It seems like our start points would be all over the place and varying by almost 100 miles as it is. So, why let that govern?
It's Marla with an " L"

Marla...100 miles is because most people up there seem to be afraid to travel further than that from home base...

Only a few up there have broken out of this zone
