Did anyone read the rules for that place?

Vehicles must be four wheel drive and no alcohol, zero tolerance policy. If the first doesn't weed you out the second will

Most publicly accessible logging/fire trails are on state/federal property, which has the same rules regarding alcohol.

Sarcasm is just one of the many services I offer.

I like my water filtered through a bed of grains, cleansed by yeast, and preserved with hops.

Yeah, it's illegal to drink and drive on private property too.

Whatever, just make this event happen

For what it is worth, this is what my friend who has been to Southington had to say….
I've only been to SOR one time and it's a decent size with all types of terrain. Most of the trails in the woods are pretty rutted up/muddy. Then there's some technical and rocky ones too. Some of the main trails should be safe for everyone. Driving a Syncro there would probably be a good all day adventure, but I don't think there's enough basic trails to make it friendly enough for a whole day with only RWD. It could still be a half-day adventure for RWD though. There is also a RWD-friendly trail that goes over to a huge lake with a nice view... I saw people camping/fishing there. If the Syncros wanted to go play in the woods/dunes, the busses could chill by the lake for a bit. I'll check out their map to give you a better idea...

This map makes the place look small.
All the Backwoods trails and Timber Trail at the top of the map and the dunes are definitely 4x4 only. Classic Way, a lot of Gauntlet, Beavers and Tank Traps I'd be weary of taking the Syncro on. So that pretty much leaves the green trails that everyone could drive on. (Upper Rim is green but I think it gets tougher as it goes up the map to the woods.)
I'd go on a dry day for the busses, too.

The great thing about SOR is if you get stuck/break, they have a staff with recovery vehicles instead of having to worry about a hillbilly torching your rig.

I know this isn't off road and very different from the original intent of this post, but it looks like it could be a nice trip. It might be a bit far for some people, but I am going to throw it out there anyway. Would there be any interest in something like this?

The third one notes, narrow, dirt and gravel roads! Does that count as off road? :)

I actually think Southington looks most likely for the 100 mile guys with 2wd. Is there camping nearby? I'd be willing to go check it out with someone.....
