(SOLD)1985 Westfalia Camper, Parts Vehicle (no title)

Post by mgccrxvw » Mon Jun 10, 2019 11:28 am

I have a 1985 Volkswagen Vanagon Westfalia Weekender Camper for sale. I'm advertising it as a "parts vehicle", as it does not have a title. The previous owner passed away many years ago, and there was no executor of the will. A new title can be obtained by going through Vermont, but the process costs about $600. My insurance agent ran the VIN, and it came back clear with no liens, and never reported stolen or abandoned.

This 1985 Westy has the 4-speed, and a diesel motor (motor turns freely). About 25,000 miles before it was parked, there was over $6,000 worth of work done to it (I have receipts) including a motor rebuild. The Vanagon is complete, minus the ignition key and one window in the sliding door. The body is pretty rough on the lower driver side, but the passenger is in better shape. Even the lower sliding door rail is in great shape. The canvas pop-top has no rips or tears. This Vanagon also has factory air conditioning. This would be perfect if you need a parts Vanagon, or if you are doing a Westfalia conversion. Or, get a title and get it going again.

The Vanagon rolls and steers, but has no brake pressure. Sold on bill of sale only. First $1,500 obo. See link below for additional pics.

Correction on the listing. This is not a diesel, it looks like an MK1 gas engine.
