Beetle Vert Doors and Fender

Post by Dual Port »

I acquired these lately, I think they fit 60-64 and the fender is a 60-61. They have shit paint but are in excellent condition otherwise, sitting for 30+ years in a garage. Let me know if anyone needs them.

I'll take em. I'll be out Monday. Let me know then what you have into them.

I should read the title in the ad before offering to take something. These are Beetle vert doors, but you already knew that because, unlike me, you actually read the ad and title.

'60 to '64 doors will actually fit '56 to '64 beetles. So these would bolt onto any 56-64 beetle. The only downside is if you're putting them on a 56-59 bug, you'd have to weld up the small hole on the exterior door handle since '56 to '59 used ice pick handles (one hole). The doors themselves otherwise are prety much the same. You can even use the inernal mechanisms on the later (56-57 Ovals) simply by changing the stricker plate. Amazing how those German engineers kept things consistent if they worked.

Like Bruce said, the doors and fender are in nice shape. If I took them, it would just be to be a bigger hoarder. I'd hoard sedan doors, but not vert doors. I have my limits!

So if you know someone with an early vert, call them. :D
