Re: Jim’s VW
Going Saturday morning for a few hours in Bus 2 with John Watjen. You can ride along in a lawn chair in the back if you want.

Re: Jim’s VW
Too much in-week traveling made me a no show on Saturday. I did head out Sunday. Swap was disappointing. Seems like Saturday is the day. If you're not there Saturday, you miss out. I did see Tom S. and Tim. I got there early Sunday and everyone seemed like they were packing up. I did talk to the Geneva on the Lake folks that do the Saturday show/swap over Labor Day weekend. It's during our Oktoberfest, but since Oktoberfest is really 4 days, both are possible. I'm still glad I went, but if you're going to JIm's next year, Saturday is the day.

I had never gone before but was in Cleveland to see the Tall Ships Festival and an Indians game so we swung through on our way home to Cincinnati (sure honey it is not that out of the way ) Swap was small and they were packing up but I did still manage to find a couple of things, middle seat belt for my 70 Single Cab and longer 12mm x 1.50 lug bolts. Really liked that it was only $2 to get in. Meandered down State Route 7 and ended up in West Virginia (obviously not in a hurry to get home Lol.) following the Ohio River along State Route 2. Ran into a car show in Follansbee with Free Admission! Counted about 7 Volkswagens at the show (sadly no buses). Coming back towards Columbus along I-70 we saw hundreds of Classic Cars and Hot Rods going home from the Good Guys Hot Rod Nationals in Columbus. All in all turned out to be a great drive home, though a bit longer .

Re: Jim’s VW
Next time your in the CLE send me a PM. But I can say the same for me. I was in Cincy at a Reds game recently and never thought to PM any VW folks. Such is life. I did make it to Taft's Brewery in the old church and the Rhinegeist Brewery roof top bar in Over The Rhine. No VW's,but it was a good time.Rob wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2019 8:06 am I had never gone before but was in Cleveland to see the Tall Ships Festival and an Indians game so we swung through on our way home to Cincinnati (sure honey it is not that out of the way ) Swap was small and they were packing up but I did still manage to find a couple of things, middle seat belt for my 70 Single Cab and longer 12mm x 1.50 lug bolts. Will do. Next time down here you have to check out the Plain folkCafé. Kind of like a country version of The Melt with a live band on the weekend. The owner always drives on his VW Buses to work.
