When are you putting in the wood burning stove?

What type of mattress are you going to use on that platform? I hear memory foam gets really hard in the cold and becomes unbearable to sleep on and an air mattress never gets warm. Just curious what you are planning to use.

No comments on the wood working. I think you do what you can to make it function the way you want. It's your bus, do what works for you.

I bought something similar to this. SInce I hate camping, I only used it once. It was (is) a good product. Sometimes you can find them cheaper.

We use two of what Sean has -- side by side.

I use a hospital bed mattress pad that's part gel and part regular foam. They're $100-150 online, I bought it at a garage sale for $10. It's only about 3-4" thick but very comfortable, even after 7 straight nights on the last big trip.
