A big thanks to Ted (Toolbox) answering my question on thesamba about swapping between AM and FM. Being one of those young whipper snappers I would have never guessed that the presets were the way to change bands. My Sapphire ? AM FM has a switch to swap that I put in the westy. During my many many times taking out the tank I also kinked the fuel line under it. Another thing you guys mentioned and I figured out tonight after putting a new fuel pump on and having an empty filter (the other one was good but after the Ypsi show incident I'm keeping a spare in every vw)

Now to try to drive it around and make sure I get it into the gears correctly so I can get up hills or even on flat areas.

I think reading all of Sean's posts is adversely affecting me ;)

I found this back home on CL, dad went and got it for me. According to thesamba decklid thread people its 67 vert.

The mural is ehhh though. Time to get it to David for some fixing and then find a way to get it here for my 67.

With the new fuel pump and unkinked line it didn't die on the hills today in first or in second. I make sure to hit my knee now just in case that was my issues before in not getting into first since the problem was intermittent.

SO I think it's a success now. A storm is a brewin out here, so time to watch the rain.

I have to find the rotor to this thing so I can drive it around. I took it out to deter any potential issues when I was back in Ohio. Then again according to the news and Jalopnik car thieves don't have a clue on how to drive a manual car. Plus it's a bug, who would want to steal it?

Here's Dave working on the 'vert mural decklid. Man, I don't remember a MIG being that bright!! My touchup paint skills won't do his air ride fill hole justice though.

They're tearing down an older building at UNMC to make room for an ~$370 million cancer center focused on patient care and research named for Warren Buffet's cousin Fred.

Fixed the passenger window so it goes up and down now. The glass came off the lift channel. I drive it around Omaha from time to time. My folks will be bringing it to Ohio for me in a few weeks. Also listed it on thesamba since my mom prefers the 68 westy to a bug. Though who knows, she may decide she wants both of them.
