Last year at Kelly's Island Kirk said to me... "You have a Beetle and a Bay window bus, when are you going to get a Split window bus? That's the natural progression of an air cooled VW collector you know." I think I replied with "probably when my divorce papers are finalized." Well, I am not divorced (yet :? ) but yesterday I became the unbelievably proud owner of a 58 std microbus. Thanks to Keith and Coco who are two of the nicest, warmest people I am lucky to have come to know and Sean for all his help and knowledge of split buses, I can now join the ranks of you split window owner's.

Living proof that you should not believe anything you read on the internet!

Congratulations Josh. It's a great bus. I enjoyed the ride home at 52mph in the right lane.

Keith and 'CoCo' are indeed great folks. I think everyone left happy.

I wish I would have been at your house when Amanda got home!

Congrats to Josh and Amanda. I have always admired that bus, it is probably one of the nicest "survivor" buses you will find anywhere. :D :D :D.

I can remember Keith leaving my single cab in the dust in that thing while caravaning from Strawberry Lake to Ipsi for the MVVC show.

Forget the kid..this is a 58! Just kidding, Hanna got her retainer on Thursday and gets to enjoy that for a few years and then gets the braces. I cashed in some stocks for that expense, insurance only covers half of it. Thank you for your concerns though Uncle Howie!
