Late Sunday winding down, and then there were three.

Alan's multiple coolant leaks turned out to be a leaking head gasket pressurizing the cooling system. He fixed the hose on the road,

but now is back at his shop and pulled the head to find several coolant trails on the head gasket, 26psi of boost will do that on a TDI. :(

It was a terrific trip! Over a thousand miles logged, and aside from Alan's issues virtually no problems. We're already talking about next year's destinations..... ;)

We spent 9 nights camping. We came home the morning of Day-10.

It was an incredible trip...never forget it!

Planning for next year's trip starts soon!

Last Call for the 3rd annual "Camp Questy"!

Departure Friday, Aug 19
2 nights at Woodward Dream Cruise (Detroit)
1 night at Frankenmuth MI
1 night at Mt Pleasant MI
2 nights at Silver Lake Dunes MI (rental buggies, jeeps, trucks, it's a blast!)
2 nights at Grand Haven MI (Salmon fishing charter on Lake MI with a big BBQ at the campground that night)
2 nights at Pokagon St Pk Indiana

All back roads, no interstate highways, mostly 50MPH or less. (I know the map shows interstates, that's incorrect.)
Plenty of stops for sightseeing, rest stops, tourist attractions, etc. Lots of little side stuff planned like go-kart racing, funky museums, etc.

Return Sunday Aug 28
We currently have 7 busses and 11 people going, guaranteed to be great!

If you can only do the weekend, you can join us just for WWDC. We're staying at the Embassy Suites in Troy, some are in the hotel, some are sleeping in their busses. I have extra rooms at this point. ;)
