Many thanks to Bill Webner and Marla Caserta for all they do in running LEAKOIL. They are exceptional year round from planing events like KI, to keeping things organized and the website operational. And Pam Webner's contribution can't be overstated. When not locking her cat inside she works tirelessly in support of LEAKOIL.
I should also mention just a few other people I know of that did a lot for this years KI weekend. I may not get everyone, but Bill or Marla can fill in the others. Kirk did a fantastic job on the silent auction. Craig did the shirts and apparel. Coco and Phylis manned the store. Matt Keith brought the keg of OKTOBERFEST up and it was gone before Saturday night. Chuck and Steve Young did the dishes. Brandon and many others worked the registration table and others donated items for the auction. With nearly 100 buses and over 200 people in attendance that's quite an accomplishment.
The Indiana, Kentucky (shout out to Randy) Michigan and Pittsburgh folks are all awesome!
Here's a few of my non-blurry pictures. The blurry ones are better, but...
The ferry was a nightmare this year with three good size weddings on the island coupled with our own record crowd and good weather that brought over the usual tourists.
The law director on the island told me the ferry line has two new super-sized boats in the pipeline to minimize future delays.
It seemed like a storm was really threatening on Friday, but we got away with good dousing in the late evening.
The preregistration makes Marla's job a lot easier at check in.
Just in case WideFive is looking for a Eurovan, I had to post these two pics!
Thankfully, the Rick Lang put the e-brake on.
Wait, does that even have a working e-brake?
The Rick Lang going Titanic.
"I told Dan the brakes didn't work on that moped!"
Those skid marks are a sure sign of some bad mojo!
"Hey Dad! I wanna jump in! Mom won't know! How do I get out of these things?"
Josh: "Well, if we tie a rope on the bumper I can pull it with the Kawasaki 100. If not those guys can pull it with that peddle bike."
Natalie: "Marlon Brando told me he would meet us here."
With photos like this Dan and Tiff are in danger of losing their "America's couple" crown!
Here are a series of pics with the great weather we had Saturday!
SpiderMan had a late night Friday, but he rebounded at the Cantina on Saturday.
As an Ohio University grad, I have to ask how many of these people really graduated from Ohio State? Go Bobcats!
I made the first boat with first light off the island. Emma the cool boxer dog was in the bus in front of me.
Oh, here's one more. "What time is Chuck getting here to polish my bus?"
