I spotted a craigslist ad for this '70 transporter w/o pictures or much info at all in Sharon, PA. I happened to be in Sharon so thought 'what the heck' call on it. Turns out it was a great find! It is extremely clean and extremely original bus owned/ garaged by an older gentleman. I haven't gone over it thoroughly, but so far am thrilled to find the original sapphire volkswagen radio still in place, working, with original working speakers, working horn (I've never owned one which worked!), working cig lighter, rear defrost, all original documentation/ manuals, and everything else. It has the original 2 bench seats in back with original seat belts and seat belt hooks. Seats are worn and have a couple holes, and rips in them. The wear that does show has great style and character to it. The bus is not perfect, but it is rock solid. I can't wait to go over this some more! Mechanics run flawlessly, even up and down western PA mini mountains...

It's difficult to find anything decent in salt country, but they're out there!

Not QUITE that low, but a few inches. Just to take the edge off it.

'Stock never grows old' I believe someone's signature read...and that's where this one's gonna sit. I'm trying to figure out how to get the filthy salt off of it from it's 2-3 hour drive home as it sits in my garage. The poor guy who sold it to me took the wrong turn and instead of coming to Newton Falls (45 minutes), drove practically to Cleveland and back on the turnpike...I asked him if it purred brrrr brrr'ed all the way

Just realized...the longer I'm on his site, the longer my signature grows...thought this site was free?!
