Re: WTB: PC Services

I went there today with a fresh frame of mind and got it working. A lot of terminologies I'm not familiar with, really poor instructions that were very misleading, and the fact that I was connecting wirelessly all made it an uphill battle (for me). But it's done. :P Thanks, Sean, I really appreciate...

WTB: PC Services

OK, I'm in over my head. I'm running a Verizon Jetpack at the shop for internet but the range is weak and I need to set up an extender. Verizon says this will work, Best Buy says this will work, and I can't figure out how to get it to work. It's asking all kinds of questions I don't understand, it's...

Re: '66 Deluxe

The muffler looks pretty normal right? PC230051a.jpg Until you flip it over and see the surgical scars. PC200004.JPG First the baffles have to come out of #1 and 3 ports, this takes an acetylene torch and a screwdriver. PC170139.JPG It's hard to believe the engine can even breathe through these. PC2...

Reseal the CB/JayCee adjustable pushrods. PB140073.jpg PB140079.JPG As soon as I install heads and jugs I always pressure test or do a leakdown to verify the cylinders are tight. This is as tight as it gets, only a few % leakage on all 4. PC030122.JPG Install the Empi 1.5 quart sump. Like most Empi ...

Re: '66 Deluxe

Been taking my time doing this as winter's here, took a couple of trips, worked on the Vette for a couple of weeks so now I'm back at it. I can't let Bill get ahead of me in the engine race. I miked the crank bearings, they measured exactly the same as a new set I have on the shelf. I did change out...

Re: The UNofficial bus (stuff) for sale on CList (& others) II 2017

John Watjen was interested in this bus last week so we went out to look at it, the seller's description is accurate- typical Ohio rust in the door bottoms and etc. Some surface rust in the windshield frame but not rotted bad, if you sandblasted these spots they would pinhole. Frame and important stu...

Re: '66 Deluxe

If you ask a hundred engine builders what they use to seal a case you'll get a hundred answers and none are wrong. It's just a matter of opinion. I've used several including Curil-T which is supposed to be the cat's ass. Even when used sparingly it breaks off and gets "worms" in the oil strainer. I ...
