Re: Split Bus Fuel Tank

I’ll take it. I need the neck to install a bay window tank on my camper.

I’ll PM to set up a time to pick it up.

Re: 1965 Camper

No... not at all.
Just had a massive life change thats sort of kicking my ass. Losing my storage spot mid-march. Lost my job and just not sure where the next chapter of life will take me. I also really want to see this thing on the road. I am not going to give it away. If it doesn't sell I'll store ...

Re: 1965 Camper

Made more progress removing paint/primer. very happy with the amount of original paint that is coming through and with a little hand buffing it seems to shine up pretty good.

I ground some of the bondo out of the nose. If I had to guess I would say the bus probably had a run in with a deer at some ...

Re: 1965 Camper

Destination code is UN. New York. I don't know where the caravelle made but it's hard to imagine the bus being shipped to New York from the factory then sent to California for an E Z camper interior then back to the east cost likely sold here locally somewhere. My understanding is that Roadrunner ...

Re: 1965 Camper

Bruce- I am using the EZ off oven cleaner to soften the primer it was certainly rattle canned on. Then I am following up with lacquer thinner to take the primer off and clean up. The few places that you can see in the photos where I burned through were caused by the oven cleaner I think. So I am ...

Re: 1965 Camper

Bruce- I've been a follower of your thread and am inspired by the work you did.

Kirk- unfortunately I was so turned off by the shag carpeting and so overwhelmed by the smell that I didn't stop to take pictures. I have it in garbage bags sitting outside the shop if you want to make me an offer on ...

Re: 1965 Camper

I like to think I helped it by removing 30 pounds of shag carpeting that was socked in rat piss. Someone must have had a limitless supply of the stuff. They covered both front door panel with it. The front seat pedestal and the entire rear floor.
