Nose job in progress. Carlos ended up pulling the A pillar a bit to enlarge the door gap, which used to be only a few mm's and the front edge of the door was almost scraping. Wild ass guess: since all parts are in good condition, there's some kind of phenomenon happening :D . The large pressure above the top ring keeps it seated/sealing properly. Blowby gas accumulates between the rings because the lower ring has too small of a gap; this negates the pressure differential ...

Thanks Chuck, could not figure it out. Got a yuuuge 360mm convex Broadway mirror to clip over it tho' so I can see all the way to the B pillars.

They used sand but the guy was skilled, no warpage. As for condition, If you zoom in the side pictures you will find a bunch of riveted repairs. But overall plenty of solid metal left.
