checked the gaskets everything seems to be fine. There seems to be popping in the exhaust manifold. This is a fuel injected engine and I replace the injector which seemed to help a bit but its still doing, and only in the Number 1 exhaust.

Put j tubes on a type 4. Take off its spits and back fires then smoothed out. Any thoughts on what may be my issue.

Where would you recommend looking?

It is still there, but I think I'll probably have to fab something up for the replacement I'm putting in.

Difficult to tell from those pics. Look like round (oval). I will get some pics up tomorrow that may help.
I would start soaking those studs down with PB Blaster or something similar, Seafoam makes a penetrant as does Krol. Keep soaking them. If the studs come out when you remove the manifold
