There are 7 of them on the front of the transaxle. Nosecone studs are M7. You can steal one from and extra trans if you have one... or take it from the front of that trans. Six studs up there "will be fine" :lol:

As I grow as a professional technician, I realize how big of a hack I was when I started this project. X2 on everything toolbox said! It needs to get torn down so you can get access to the diff housing area. Fix it right the first time.

Replace the failed snap ring too and inspect the input shaft at the snap ring location to be sure it's not damaged.
