The one I miss the most.

I just want to let everyone know that Denise and I will again have tote bags for the kids to decorate and we will be letting them paint the Vanagon this year. In other words, bring some clothes you won't mind the kiddos getting paint, marker, etc. on.

It was a sometimes chilly but gorgeous weekend. An impressive turnout even without being able to see the groups tucked in around the basketball court and down on the beach. That's the most Buses I've seen along the tree line in years. Thanks for another awesome year!

For anyone bringing their kids to Kelleys this weekend, Denise and I wanted to let you know that we have T-shirts for them to tie-dye and we will be letting them paint the Bus again. In other words, bring something for them to wear that you don't mind getting stained.

I'll have some photos up soon. In the meantime, Denise and I would love to see some of the kids' finished shirts. They didn't dry fast enough, so the closest we came was when they were all laid out on the grass wet.

I know a '56 should have a small red reflector under the taillight, but I never knew what the other hole was for. I've never seen one with that many reflectors. Glad you're using the STOP light - I was going to have to steal it back if you didn't!

Good to see it back to work. I see you added a few reflectors, too. Did you wire the taillights like a '56 or in a way that won't get you rear-ended?

That's a nice score. I'd be lying if I said I don't want a Syncro. I think I'd prefer a Weekender, but I wouldn't be too picky. If they don't pave my street soon I'm going to need one!

Denise is planning to tie-dye T-shirts with the kids (not quite as messy as what you’re thinking!) this year. I haven’t decided whether this is going to replace Paint the Bus or be in addition to, but like Paint the Bus, it will be a free event.

I'd be ok with that. Besides, the dining hall is warm and there is always plenty of firewood.
