Possible kid activity on Saturday

Stealing some ideas from Bus-Boo in Grand Rapid..

Anyone interested in doing a trunk or treat for the kids on Saturday afternoon/evening? Maybe also have a kid pumpkin decorating "contest" or something along the Halloween theme?

Number of kids & ages (will update as more kids are mentioned)

Toolbox , 1 year old (yo)
Craigontheboat, 2- 5 yos
Six Volt – 14 yo (dressed as Chuck Jr)
82 Camper - ? yo boy
bea_bugg66 – 2 yo & 12 yo
volks71folks – 6 yo
Ron - 11 yo
Captkirk - 8 yo

Total kids – 10 and counting

My 14 year old told me that he's hanging out with Chuck. :? :lol:

Where's Smitty? They had some kind of small kids' Activity thing going on in the dining hall last year, artsy-craftsy stuff or something.
And keep us posted about the Trick or Treat thing possibility. I could festively wrap some small bags of jerky to pass out to the kids. (No-fair any adults trying to put on a costume and pretend to be a kid!) :twisted:

I might have trouble finding enough "trunks", but I could scare up some Treats for sure. This is a cool idea!
Maybe plan it immediately after the potluck dinner just before it gets dark.
As far as the pumpkin decorating if folks could BYO pumpkins, set something up in the dining hall in the afternoon on Saturday. Maybe bring a few extra pumpkins if folks forget theirs. Has anyone ever seen pumpkins growing or for sale on KI?

That sounds awesome i have a 2 year old and a 12 year old they would just love that. Hmmmm i'll have to bring some scary Halloween decorations. (ok not to scary) Cool ideal guys... :D Just love it!

Since Ted got the ball rolling on this, he should help make it happen. :twisted: I'm sure that Smittie would jump in, and any other families with kids (or even without kids) should raise their hands to get this plan in effect. It would be really fun, and our 4-H hosts would LOVE this concept I think! It would look real good on Leakoil's "Permanent Record" with our 4-H Hosts! :)
