1967 Volkswagen SO42 Camper Bus

Completely gone thru mechanically.

Original 78000 miles. Third owners.

Engine: Original case, one replacement head, upgraded to 1600cc. All bearings and seals are new. No boring required.

Interior: all new side panels made from original style Baltic birch panels. Camper interior is original. Has the original Childs cot. New carpet and curtains.

All new seals in windows. Rebuilt crank out windows along with front door window seals.

Camper canvas is original. Couldn’t make ourselves to change it out. In good shape except for small tear on rear bottom.

Body: body was stripped to metal. Long rocker, bottom of doglegs and front valance were replaced with Colombian green panels. Painted with original paint color.

Has original side tent, poles and all hardware.
Only set up once. Like new. Original restored roof rack.

My daughter has driven this bus on several trips. To include a 1800 mile trip to Maine and Kelley’s Island,Ohio.

This is a good solid bus and could be driven anywhere.
