Jeff from 4H handles the cabins. He will accomadated you when you arrive. They are your standard camp cabins,6 or 8 bunkbeds and a single lite bulb hanginging from the ceiling. They are clean.

Do you recall how many actual cabins there are Bill? Not many, as I recall- 4 maybe? First come, first served, right?

Tinker wrote:Last year I believe there were some cabins available.

I would like to put my two girls in one. There is another family with the same situation.

The tent gets a little to cold for them.

That would help to lessen my load and give them a warmer place.

Thanks
Bruce
Bruce, I can only speak from the time my wife, 11wk old son and I were looking to stay in one of those cabins back in 02. All I can say is spiders and cobwebs and no I am not kidding. You will be better off in a nice clean tent. Maybe they are a little cleaner now but I just want to give you a serious heads up!!

Has anyone ever stayed in one of those cabins before??? If so who??

Some people are like slinkies. Not good for anything but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

If I can't be a good example, then I'll be a terrific WARNING!

ok...we'll get to join you all this year...our first of many KI campouts....brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

dave built and installed a new trailer hitch on Lizzie, we will take it for a test drive this weekend...looks awesome. we will be coming up as early as possible on friday...

any news on the carabus? we'd like to join up, that'd be cool, the kids would dig it.

any suggestions on what to bring, what not to bring? how about a "teeter totter"? i know kelleys, i know the 4h camp, i dont know the whole bus/KI/campout thing, so any info would be great...maybe a heads up on what/when things go on. thanks all. cant wait to see you all there!

Still pushing for that teeter board, eh? :o
Depending on the last-minute weather forecast, prepare for wet, cold, & sunshine and hot. Extra socks and shoes is good. Trashbags are good. (You can get inside one inside your sleeping bag if it gets really cold. I learned that trick from a "street person". Bring stuff for quick lunches and Friday night meal. Bring an extra memory card for your camera. DON'T bring the Kitchen Sink- They already have one at the Mess Hall. ;)

Breakfast is served in the dining hall Saturday and Sunday, included in camping fee. Bring something for the pot luck dinner on Saturday.

Otherwise just try to behave,
