Pat and I have a good amount of work to do this winter! :D
Sunday we got almost all of the interior cleaned out and removed it all.

Some body work to do but thats not a big deal right now. The main body work is a few rust holes. Mainly the floor boards need repaired.

But thanks for having me in the club! Hope I can help with anything and I hope I will learn alot too!

Heres some pics . Couple surprises but it's 36 years old . The fenders just unbolt which is cool . The two back ones are good and the two front need work . Needs a couple new seals .

Well I thaught i would through this mess on here . I pulled out a bunch of wire that was hacked in there . Got a muffler for $30 . I went to start the motor today , it's been sitting for a week or two and no dice . Just cranking . Theres plenty of gas . It sarted fine before I pulled a bunch of wire from under the dash . Most of which was connected to the old radio and rigged fan to assist hot air . Is there something I could have pulled of by mistake ? Maybe need to pull out the fuel tank and make sure its not clogged . The white thing is a switch that you turn with a screwdriver to crank the starter , and the little black box is a switch that turns on the fuel pump . I talk to Kyle about this and didnt retain much  Probably need a new ignition switch and fuel pump relay . Maybe I could get this running and get it to Kyle to sort . Wiring is not my thing.

I checked two of my suppliers for type III harness, and neither of them make one.Including wiringworks. Not to say that someone may but the odds are not good.

That does not look too bad. Looks like there were some options that are now gone - gas heater, AC and Kustom radio install. You will just need to sit with a wiring diagram and ring it out. Start with one thing at a time like getting the ignition switch hooked up and operation properly and move on from there. It is not a big job just a lot of small ones if you work this way.

Thank you fellas for your help . I'm going to start with the ignition then . Now the reason why its jerry rigged like it is is becouse the ignition went bad . I would asume . The part I would need would look like a cylinder with some wires coming out the end ? So I would just have a different key to start it . Thanks again yall :D

The electrical portion is seperate from the key and steering lock. Get a shop manual and the procedure is detailed.

There are only 4 wires going to the ignition switch
Big red wire is the battery positive
Red with black is the starter trigger
Black with yellow is the power to lights and key on accessories
Black is the power out to the FI and engine.

There may be a funky seatbelt interlock relay on the MY 73 and 74 vehicles, thank NHTSA for that one.
