I got mine from West Coast Metric. it did have a "Brazil" stamp on it, so not German. They seem decent, I used a heat gun on them a little bit to make them a little easier to deal with and to get the kinks out from shipping.

Got some work done on the truck.

Patched up the holes and rust in the window sills.

Cleaned, prepped and painted the parcel tray.

Upgraded the wiper motor to 12v and linked up the wiper stems.

The glass is back in with new seals. Should be dry at least.

Got a little more work done today and over the past couple of weeks. Had lots of help getting it to this point.

Interior is mostly back together. Brand new seat covers that look and feel amazing. All windows are in place and working. Gear oil leak repaired. Hammered out the rear corner creases. Worked on the battery tray, dry fitted and ready for welding. Looking at how to secure the gas tank in place.

I drove him back home this past weekend. The ride back from Kirk's went very well. Smooth sailing and no issues on the trip. He is officially ready to come out for events.

Thanks to Kirk for all of the help getting this truck sorted out a bit and helping get a plan in place.

Brought Sanford out for the Vermilion Beach Market, and had to call a tow truck on the way home. It took almost 3 hours for a tow to show up in Lakewood.

I had him towed to Bruce’s shop. Bruce’s initial assessment said it was something inside the bell housing, so the engine needed to come out. We worked on it today and found the clutch fork was broken. We decided to replace the clutch assembly while we had it all apart. Parts are ordered.
Stay tuned for more.

Looks like you will be back on the road soon! Truck looks great, love the patina. They come in very handy when you don't have to worry about scratching them. That being said we placed the concrete and bricks in there gently and had a bed mat

I hear ya Rob!

I installed a sandstone patio so I picked up some limestone screening with the bus. He did very well. It was a short trip and slow speeds, but I was happy.
