WD 40. any oil based spray, or a little mineral sprit s on a rag. paint thinner etc. etc. also maybe a five in tool and some elbow before the oil based product.

any ideas on getting that glue off ,that held the insulation on ...its tough

I used a D/A on mine to remove the glue. Do you have good air?

i was so excited to but my bus on here i forgot to introduce myself ...Hello im thomas tetzloff i live in sandusky ohio .. like building old car i have a couple ...1953 buick , a 1934 buick , 1948 chevy coupe chop top , a 1969 camero ,and a 1968 chevelle ... all in various states of disrepair ..lol ...some are drivers ..this is not my first bus i had a 1965 westy poptop in 1987 lost her to rust wish i had it now ...i have probably owed 10 vw bugs ..5 at one time long story ...and one thing ... im not new to the vw world just been out of them for awhile... its graig on the boats fault ....dragging me back id go to his house and see his projects ..made me what my old ones back ...been looking and finally fell into this lovely 1959 light grey panel ...see you on the road this summer for sure ...
