Bus has been out at Kyle's for the past week or so. Got the top off and painted (rustoleum white). Need to take care of a few problem spots where the wood is rotted inside. If all goes as planned the tent will be installed up there today or tomorrow. After that I will turn it over to Dan the Glass Man who will rock the shit out of those window seals.

Got out to Kyle's today for a bit. Washed the top of the Bus and put the rear luggage rack back on. Also glued in new wooden replacement pieces as well as new spacers. Tomorrow we will conquer the Westy tent.

Nice job Brandon! I guess I wont be able to call it the "disco bus" anymore. (And that's a good thing! )

That bus fell into the right hands. You've done it right. I'm glad you're finally a bus owner!

The "Disco Bus" name will live on in Leakoil history along with the "Vegas Bus", and several other names.

I did not sand between coats but will most likely sand when I paint it again next spring sometime. All together it was about a $25 paint job. I installed the tent yesterday and still need to finish that up because there is too much excess fabric towards the back. I now know how much of a time involved, frustrating job it is to install a tent. NEVER AGAIN!! I hope that I can have everything buttoned up by the time PIB rolls around. I'm also hoping that Dan can bust out some window seals this week so I can be dry inside my van if it rains. :o
