Rick the rest of us are smiling with you! It has to feel good to get that great looking front suspension on your bus....Awesome to have such a High Quality VW Bus Specialist right here in NEO and not have to send our $ out of state or over seas.... As always Aaron great work and good service!

Just wondering, is this a whole new beam or did he modify your existing beam.
I'm looking at wheel options and it looks like if you go aftermarket, front beam needs narrowed?

A whole new beam, 3.5" narrowed. Aaron said a 2" narrowed beam is great for stock rims w/ flipped spindles. And to run aftermarket rims around 4" is idealKirk wrote:Just wondering, is this a whole new beam or did he modify your existing beam.

I think its funny, Im surprised that he hasnt chimed in with some witty remark.Busjunky wrote:Aaron's partner the beard lmao!
Anyway today (rather stupidly) I braved the crappy roads and drove out to Nick's in Wakeman to get a westy wardrobe and z-bed. I dont have any pictures because my fingers were to cold for my touch screen phone but it all worked out in the end.

So friends, I finally got fed up trying figure out the painted over, cut, different colors, hacked, and overall poor condition of my wiring harness and ordered a new wiring works harness. Im borrowing an electrical fish hook to feed the new through the frame. Anyone have any other tips before i jump into this? I want to do this now while the bus is stripped down with no motor, trans, or front end. Does the kit come with proper eye and spade connectors or do i have to supply those? Im looking forward to having properly working lights, signals, and hazards!

From what I remember Sean posting before, a new harness had spades and rings. He had someone (maybe Kyle?) put the right ends on it for the screw terminal electrical stuff in his 59.

Re: Because I want to go 70 mph on a budget and other change
I just did this last winter on the 56 Single Cab. The wire ends are made for later model spade terminals and NOT screw terminals, so you should be fine. It made a night and day difference and well worth the time to do it all right. They don't leave you any extra length so it's very important to route all the wires per original. I used their sketches along with the Bentley for wiring diagrams. Take your time
