Yellowstone Trip

Post by TheBigSpud »

Hey gang,
Thought I'd share a link to our trip out west in the spudmobile. So far the bus has run flawless....now to really test her on Beartooth Pass. Only one bus sighting so far to MT!

That's awesome!!

We will be taking the same trip next summer; but not in the bus

You'll have to give us some "must see" advice once you safely return.

I had faith in the bus and went for it up Beartooth Pass -WOW!! The spudmobile powered right up (mostly in 2nd gear) to 10.947 feat!!! Just now got back to internet and cell usage and will update the blog in a bit. I'll get some photos of LEAKOIL representation above the tree line on the blog.

Dang! Everything looks beautiful! This is so cool! We get to take an "Armchair Vacation" through your camera lens, and YOU get to do all the driving! ;) Glad to hear that the bus is performing so well! May your Luck continue! :)

30+ years ago when buses were NEW they were made to do trips. It just becomes bit more challenging now. But that's part of the fun!

When I bought my 67 westy, pre kids, I told my wife I / we will visit Mt. Rushmore in it!! We'll may not be in the 67 but it will be in a split bus, perhaps a 65 I'm working on. I plan to make it a real road runner for this type of trip!! Very cool trip!! I am very envious and look forward to more pics!!

Just left Jackson Hole and took a route that took us back to around 9,650'! Having a great time - just to bad I've had limited time to update the blog.

Oh yeah - Although we have only had 3 bus sightings, we found a LEAKOILER on a grocery run to Gardner, MT!!! John/Jean Micklewright.

I'm off to update the site and hopefully get the photo album running.
